My favorite books for this month are:

Boot Camp by Todd Strasser—In the middle of the night, Garrett is kidnapped from his home and taken to Lake Harmony, a disciplinary boot camp for troubled teens.  He won’t be allowed to leave until he admits his “mistakes” and repents completely …whether he is guilty or not.  Then Garrett hears whispers of an escape plot.  It’s incredibly risky---if he is caught, the consequences will be unthinkable--but it may be his only way out!

Miracle on 49^th Street by Mike Lupica—Josh Cameron is MVP of the championship Boston Celtics and a media darling with a spotless reputation.  He has it all---including a daughter he never knew.  When Molly Parker arrives in his life claiming to be his daughter, she catches him off guard.  As Molly gets to know Josh, she understands why her mother never wanted her to know him.  Josh has room in his heart for only two things; basketball and himself.
